Part Time - Financial Controller

Hays are currently working alongside an exciting Bath based business to recruit a part time Finance Manager.


Your new company
Hays are currently working with a Bath based client to recruit a part time Finance Manager. This entrepreneurial business are now at a stage where they need someone with the financial expertise to lead the business in its next stage of growth.

Your New Role
Having grown rapidly over recent years there is now a need for someone to work well as part of the busy, fast paced team that is currently based in Bath. Reporting into the owner you will support the business with all accountancy related matters. Key responsibilities of the role will include, but not limited too:

• Support growth plans by monitoring margins and the preparation of financial models and exploration of growth scenarios.
• Prepare forecasting and analysis to support the senior leadership team.
• Monthly management accounts
• Prepare financial documents such as invoices, bill and AR / AP
• Complete PO and bank reconciliations.
• Manage company ledgers
• Coordinator internal and external audit

What you'll need to succeed
With the business being an SME, the role requires someone to working across operational, tactical and strategic levels of the business, being able to balance priorities from managing day to day transactions to more tactical analysis across business units. In addition you should have a strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting practices and ideally this will be backed up by a qualification such as AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ACA. You should have good software experience and the ability to work well under pressure.
