Are you seeking a first step into a Financial Controller Job?

Your new job will be based at a growing organisation in the Guildford area as part of the senior leadership team to oversee finance, team management and support on strategic planning. This is a key role to support a business who have continued to grow and win market share despite challenging market conditions.

Your new role
Reporting into the Directors, as Financial Controller you will be taking on all aspects of accounting covering management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, commercial reporting, project reporting as well overseeing the finance team and at year end liaising with the accountants on statutory reporting and audit. As this is a fast paced, entrepreneurial business, you will also partner closely with the sales and operations managers on projects, delivery and ensure margin, revenue and profit is inline with expectations.

What you'll need to succeed
In addition to your professional accounting qualification, you should have experience in all areas of finance, reporting and ideally work in progress / revenue recognition principles. Team management experience is advantageous but not a pre-requisite. Most importantly is the confidence to build relationships internally and be prepared with ideas to help positively impact the business as they continue to grow alongside a flexible approach which may see you involved in transactional work one day and strategic planning the next!
