Search Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Tax & Treasury Accountant (Fully or Part-Qualified) to join our reputable client in the heart of Fife. This is a critical role that will be primarily responsible for supporting with all aspects of indirect tax compliance, indirect tax advisory & treasury management. This include assistance with VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat returns and other relevant tax returns to HMRC and assisting with day to day tax-related enquiries.
This is an exciting role that will be based within a large finance team & report into the Tax & Treasury manager where you'll have overall responsibility for the smooth functioning of the sales ledger system including supporting the Senior Finance Assistant with the raising, checking, authorisation and approval of sales invoices and credit notes, resolving any issues with detail coding or VAT coding, and any other queries. You will also be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the Sales Ledger System and Customer Database.
The successful candidate will be a part-qualified Accountant or qualified by experience, with a proven track record of working within a busy Finance, Treasury or Tax Department. You'll have excellent attention to detail, be able to work with minimum supervision & be able to organise and prioritise your own workload to ensure that HMRC and other reporting deadlines are met.
