We are delighted to be a supporting an expanding and highly regarded professional services business in Derby to recruit their next Financial Controller. Reporting to the Managing Director you will be the main point of contact for all finance related issues and there is a clear path to Finance Director for the right candidate.
You will oversee the day to day running of the finance function and undertake all aspects of financial management including regulatory and financial reporting and audit, budget and forecast preparation, development of internal policy and procedures as well as cashflow management and financial risk management.
Experience:
Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) although exceptional QBE candidates may be considered
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experienced in creating financial statements
Experience with GL functions and the month end/year end close process
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
Responsibilities:
Delivering outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Preparation of the budgets and financial forecast reports
Preparation and publishing of monthly financial statements
Supporting month end and year end close process
Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Salary & Working Hours
Salary is £45,000 - £50,000p/a
Working hours are Monday - Friday
9am - 5pm - Remote and flexible working also on offer
