Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading and prestigious Leicester-based school in the appointment of a Head of Finance and Resources into a newly-created role. This key position will be the Chief Finance Officer for the school, reporting into the Headteacher and Board of Governors and Trustees and be responsible for the financial wellbeing as well as the facilities and personnel.

Your new role
As part of the Senior Leadership Team you will make a major contribution to the strategic direction of the school, providing guidance and advice in the development of plans and decision making. You will manage the business planning, budgeting and forecasting, operational and capital expenditure, identify potential new revenue schemes and commercial opportunities. You will also act as Company Secretary for the Academy, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements. In addition you will take responsibility for all facilities, procurement, HR and Health and Safety, leading a small team of operational managers.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a confident and engaging leader with a strong background within financial and resources management. An understanding of the Education sector would be desirable although not essential as long as you can demonstrate values in line with the schools ethos. A pro-active and energetic approach to the workplace is a must and the ability to operate across all levels within an organisation will be key given the nature of the post.
