Job Title: Controller
Location: Bliss Unlimited Headquarters in Eugene, OR
Shift: M – F 9am-5pm+(45+ hours/week)
FLSA: Exempt

Coconut Bliss is looking for a Controller who is passionate about embracing, upholding and supporting the companies’ core values and culture. The individual must demonstrate strong coaching, organizational and collaboration skills. An experienced individual with strong ethics and communication skills is favored for this role. The Controller should naturally be efficient and accurate, dedicated to continuous improvement, and be completely trustworthy.

The Controller leads and directs the Company’s financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management and financial reporting, in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). This person actively seeks and drives improvement of processes, systems, and regular, collaborative communication resulting in the overall fiscal health of the business. The Controller supervises the Accounting Team, coaching each member toward stellar performance. To be successful in this role, this person will be a proactive individual, passionate about impacting performance of the top line and the triple bottom line – people, planet and profit. They will be a high impact, low ego leader in the organization, and have solid work experience that includes small/medium and entrepreneurial type business and manufacturing, food, health or similar industries in the private sector.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent, current CPA or have 10 years minimum experience as a Controller with extensive cost accounting & forecasting experience, preferably in Food & Beverage or a related industry.

Strong Ethics – including leadership & teamwork skills, stewardship of resources, accountability, discretion and high level of accounting ethics.

Administrative Requirements – Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks. Proficient with or ability to learn Turnlink, Asana and other software utilized by the Company.

  • Strong Accounting, Language, Mathematical, Reasoning and Organizational Skills.

Physical Demands & Work Environment – Typical of normal office environment; will be described in greater detail during interview process.

Principle Duties

  • Contribute to Company Management in Conjunction with Executive Team
  • Accounting System Oversight
  • Supervise Accounting Staff
  • Asset Maintenance
  • Internal Reporting
  • Ensure Payroll Compliance
  • Secure Financing
  • Collaborate with CFO to Coordinate Budgeting Process & Manage Company Budget
  • External Reporting & GAAP /IRS /State Compliance
  • Cost Accounting
