Job Details

A newly created role to lead and develop the FP&A function of a growing FMCG company on the South Coast. All of the mechanisms for a successful FP&A function have been put in place, but now they need someone to drive it forward to support continued business growth.

The Head of Financial Planning and Analysis will work for the Finance Director and alongside the Senior Management team to develop a best in class reporting and insights function from the ground up with the strategic goal of driving performance and improving profitability.

Description

As Head of Financial Planning and Analysis you will be expected to build, develop and lead the FP&A function

You will take ownership of all forecasting and budgeting, including: timetable management, presenting to management, preparing supporting board papers and disseminating targets across the business.

With a the support of a small team you will drive forward improvements to the function such as establishing and producing intra-month commentary on key trading areas.

Working in conjunction with the Data and Analytics teams you will support the expansion of the BI tool through delivering training and encouraging ownership.

Through your leadership you and your team will perform ad-hoc financial and non-financial analysis to evaluate the quantitative and qualitative aspects of investment opportunities or business cases. You will work in collaboration with the wider finance team to build reports and overhaul month end reporting packs.

You will also support any M&A, any other strategic opportunities and the development of business cases.

Profile

Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent).

5 years + experience of leading and managing an FP&A function, ideally within a FMCG/ B2B environment.

Strong financial modelling skills (reporting packs and business plans) including advance Excel and knowledge of financial reporting systems.

Strong accounting skills and a good understanding of finance function in a group setting. Ideally with PE exposure.

Excellent communication skills and confident at getting out into the business to articulate financial matters to a non-financial audience.

Ability to drive results, having a track record of high performance and examples of delivering improvements to the top and bottom line.

Self-motivated, must be able to organise and execute work independently and with minimal supervision.

An experienced leader of people with the ability and drive to motivate and develop a newly developed team.

Job Offer

Up to £75,000 per annum + bonus and package
