Job Details
Our client is looking to recruit a Project Accountant on a contract basis to cover a busy period. This role will be remote, possibly for the duration of the assignment

Description
The role will entail but won't be exclusive of:
- Assisting Project Managers with the overall project accounting from the start to the finish of the project, and taking ownership of the financial systems required for this
- Producing monthly profit and loss reports for projects and assisting Project Managers with the production of monthly project variances of actuals v budgets and forecasts
- Help improve the measurement of projects profitability at the tender/feasibility stage
- Assisting with the preparation of quarterly P&L and Capex forecasts and cashflow projections
- Assist with the preparation of business cases for board approval for major project and capital spend
- Help to educate and encourage all staff to take more responsibility over the financial aspects of the projects that they are doing and the overhead costs that they are incurring
- To assist the Finance Controller with any ad hoc requests
Profile
The successful candidate requires as a minimum:
- Qualified Accountant ACA/ACAS/ ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Good knowledge of IFRS
- Able to take a strategic and commercial view and create solutions that are congruent with the company strategy
- Experience of working in a similar role in a similar type of industry
- Excellent communicator at all levels, both written and verbal
- IT literate with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Able to work independently and as part of a core team
Due to the urgent nature only candidates with one weeks notice or less will be considered for the role
