Enable Futures are operating as an employment business on behalf of its client and recruiting for a permanent Financial Controller based in Crewkerne, Somerset. You will join a market-leading global manufacturer with an engineering / production side to the business at an exciting time of growth.

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, who can learn quickly, and knows what they are doing in terms of audit requirements and managing the audit relationship. You will be working with a small finance team and reporting into the Director. Prior experience working within a manufacturing, production or engineering environment would be advantageous.

The role is working as a full time financial controller, but we are seeking someone who is happy to also take on a small amount (15% of the week) basic HR duties, no prior experience is required in HR. We are seeking an experienced financial controller!

The working hours are Monday to Friday 40 per week Full Time (8.00 am to 5.00 pm, 1-hour lunch). The annual salary is £35,000 - £45,000 PA depending on experience.

Key

Responsibilities:


Financial Controller:

Manage Customer Invoicing and debt collection.

Manage Supplier Invoices and supplier payment agreements.

Manage Banking relationships and Cash Flow Transactions and Reporting:

Forex

Supplier Payment Runs

Inter-company transfers

Manage relationships with shareholders, HMRC and ONS submissions.

Cash Flow Forecasting.

Preparation of weekly Investment portfolio reports.

Preparation of monthly Board Report (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow/Investment reports, Debtors, Creditors, KPIs).

Preparation of all monthly accounts for the German subsidiary.

Monthly control accounts reconciliation.

Manage relationship with our external Auditors.

Year End Statutory Accounts preparation and submission.

VAT Submissions / EU submissions.

Manage Fixed Asset register, depreciation and amortisation.

R&D Claims.

Stock analysis and stock take.

Tax Submissions - manage our Tax Accountants. To include tax advice and tax returns for the Directors.

Financial control of our Accounting system: EFACS.

Represent Finance in the Operational Management Meetings.

Contribution to the Company's decision making processes.

Ongoing review of processes to identify and implement improvements.

Management of all Expenses.

Responsible for all Energy contracts.

Manage the company insurances.

Manage the company health insurance and life assurance schemes.

Carry out company secretarial tasks.

HR:

Manage all day to day requirements of HR.

Preparation of payroll.

Create a culture of respect onsite, where Team Leaders engage with, listen to and respond to their team members.

Coach and support the management team and your People team to improve performance and grow talent across the whole site.

You will be responsible for the management of all competency training.

You will build commitment to HR strategies and implement HR policies, processes and initiatives.

Experience, attributes & skills sought:

* CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified.

* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively and to deadlines.

* Extremely high integrity.

* Analytical and strong excel skills.

* Good understanding of WIP and project accounting.

* Commercially astute.

* Confident communication and engaging with the whole team
