Interim Payroll Manager
Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join a growing business based in Stafford on an interim basis for 3-6 months. You will be responsible for leading a small team in processing the weekly and monthly payrolls, whilst making recommendations for process improvement. Your daily duties will include;
- Checking, validating and finalising payrolls
- Carrying out reconciliations on the payroll reports
- Checking compliance of all new starters and maintaining employee records and confidential information.
- Processing statutory payments
- Dealing with escalated pay queries ensuring that adjustments and amendments to payroll are made accordingly
- Ensuring policies and procedures are in line with HMRC guidelines
- Covering for absent team members in the day-to-day processing of the payrolls
- Training and motivating the team to ensure the department runs as efficiently as possible, hitting deadlines head on and with minimal errors
- Looking at current processes and liaising with Company directors to implement improvements
- Be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for all payroll related enquiries
The perfect candidate will have previous experience working within a similar role and a 'hands on' and flexible approach to their work. You must be able to communicate effectively and have a good eye for detail.
This is an urgent interim requirement therefore only candidates available at short notice will be considered, however a longer term role may be available for the perfect candidate.
