Management Accountant - Abergavenny - £35,000 to £40,000 + benefits

Your new company is a market leader in their field with significant growth plans on the horizon, with turnover expected to increase by 50% in the next 2 years.

Your new role
This is a newly created role for the growing finance function and its primary purpose it to support the finance manager with the production of monthly management accounts, allowing the finance manager to become more involved in higher level analysis of the numbers..

The role is mainly management accounting however there is a need to get involved in some financial accounting so a fairly broad skill set is required.

Duties;-

  • Assist the Finance Manager with preparation of Monthly Board Pack and management information.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts - Trial balance, P&L, Balance Sheet for review with Finance manager.
  • Reconciliation of all Balance sheet control accounts including sterling and foreign bank accounts, HP, payroll, loan accounts.
  • Post monthly stock and cost of sales journals, agreeing back to detailed stock reports and ensuring financial statements are within expended levels following appropriate investigation.
  • Maintain fixed asset register.
  • Post Monthly Accruals and Prepayments
  • Assist with preparation of financial accounts and assist with audit preparation.
  • Manage and control VAT and Intrastat submissions.
  • Submit National Statistic returns.
  • Assist with Management of the company fleet of vehicles.
  • Maintain up to date procedures within the Finance function.




What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with experience in an industry role producing monthly management accounts. If you have a background in manufacturing / production that would be preferred however it is not essential. We will also consider strong part qualified / finalists.

What you'll get in return
£35,000 to £40,000 + benefits. The business are currently in a hybrid state of working with 50% in the office and 50% from home, week on week off. There is free on site parking and excellent office space. Study support for those who are still studying.
