Shape our Future as Finance Manager for Capita Customer Management

This role works for the Customer Management IT and Core Finance Teams based in Leeds and will report into the Head of Finance. This is a key business partnering role for Customer Management IT. The individual is responsible for creation, reporting and analysis of all IT Investment projects, reporting performance against expectations and a full understanding of drivers influencing the costs of the IT investments.

We're supporting our clients as they adapt to a new world in the wake of COVID-19. We're now recruiting for roles which will help our clients to deliver vital services and to resume business wherever possible.

What you'll be doing

Investments:

  • Building and producing Business Cases for small and large IT Projects
  • Review seed funding requests and Investment application packs
  • Financial tracking of all projects including Capital Expenditure and Operating expenses

Actual Results:

  • Producing accurate and timely reporting for the Customer Management IT team on a monthly basis. Ensure accurate representation of the Investment P&L, post all required ledger entries, along with reconciliations of all Working capital, Accruals and Prepayments, and maintain cash flow reconciliations.
  • Review reported performance against flexed targets, and ensure that the key drivers of variances are explained;
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business to influence financial performance and understand contract, price and cost drivers & challenge assumptions where necessary;

Forecast Results:

  • Produce accurate forecasts of costs and benefits by liaising with & challenging the IT, Project, Sales, Operations and Planning teams;
  • Review forecast against Business Plan and previous forecast targets, and ensure key drivers of variances are explained;

Working Capital:

  • Minimise Working Capital through accurate & timely supplier payments, and ensure query resolution on a timely basis;
  • Explore opportunities to improve WC

Reporting:

  • Deliver monthly scheduled and ad-hoc reporting to tight deadlines;
  • Help the Customer Management IT Finance team in streamlining existing processes, and designing new reports and processes where necessary;

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Diligent, attention to detail, willing to challenge.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • Good at communicating at all levels, with finance and non-finance teams
  • Ability to manage own workload, and meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • Hands on and enthusiastic individual looking for career development
