The Challenge
This Senor Finance Manager role for Disposals supports the Acquisition and Disposal (A&D) business area that reports to the Head of Estates. The role is responsible for being the primary point of contact for the financial management of the disposal programme in the DIO. This role will control and manage all disposal data related to DEO, Business as Usual (BaU) and Incentivisation disposal sites, holding the pivotal position of collating, controlling and reporting all disposals MI (including Land Sales Delivery Partners) for decision making by the Senior Leadership in DIO.
This is a high-profile role that provides valued financial information and insight to ensure effective financial management and enable decision making.

Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
- Financial subject matter expert for the Disposals team, providing advice and guidance as required. Developing business cases and securing authority to proceed. Monitor and identify improvements to compliance with MoD & DIO policy using the correct govennance chain.

- Lead monthly management review prcesses to assure forecasts, manage financial risks. Lead on the annual financial planning submission, liaising with both internal, external and strategic stakeholders.

- Ensure appropriate management of disposal sites and ensure compliance with MOD policy and DIO internal requirements, including VAT implications, capture of End of Year valuations.

- Provide coherent and accurate finanvcial reporting/MI for the Disposals Business Area.

Employment Hours
The post advertised is for 37 hours net, however the Ministry of Defence offers a range of flexibilities to enable a better work-life balance for employees. Flexible working, Part-time working and Job Share working patterns will be considered.

Interviews will take place via BT Meet Mee/Microsoft Teams/Skype within 2 weeks of the sift. A minimum of 2 full working days- notice will be provided for interviews.
