SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for Finance Manager to join a business on a contract - permanent basis to start immediately. Reporting to the Finance Director and Managing Director, you will assume a hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations of the company.

You will be a talented, professional, and experienced individual, capable of managing a diverse list of tasks as well as growing and leading the finance team. This role involves liaising with departments across the business, supporting them in managing their budgets and financial planning.

Financial Manager

responsibilities:


You will be accountable for all routine financial operations and are tasked to:

- Improve efficiencies and reduce company costs
- Put in place robust financial systems and processes
- Prepare monthly management accounts and Key Performance Indicators
- Oversee cash flow management
- Manage budgeting and forecasting process, including variances
- Develop relationships with external advisors, e.g. accountants and banks
- Liaise with auditors for annual reporting and taxation queries
- Deliver on HMRC reporting, such as PAYE and CIS returns
- Complete VAT returns
- Recruit and manage staff as the business grows
- Review spending against budget, especially for individual projects, with individual departments
- Present draft year end accounts
- Undertake cost-benefit analysis for financial opportunities
- Reconcile balance sheets
- Understand regulation, legislation and industry developments and how they will impact the business

The Ideal Candidate:

- Part qualified (AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA - study package will be given if required)
- Remarkable commercial acumen and strategic business knowledge
- Resilient and able to manage pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade and influence
- Great team leader and manager
- Committed, enthusiastic and able to use initiative to drive the business forward
