We are working with an Accountancy Practice based in Royston. This role would be ideal for an experienced trainee or a partly-qualified accountant still training to become an integral part of a well-established and supportive team and to continue to further their career. Support is provided for further studies
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of business accounts from client's information
Preparing journal entries and completing general ledger operations
Preparing business tax computations
Closing and preparation of monthly financial statements
Reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts
Assisting with personal tax returns, running year end closings
Administering accounts receivable and accounts payable, preparing budgets and cashflow forecasts
Assisting senior accountants in the preparation of financial and management accounts
Preparing VAT returns
Liaising with clients as required
Administrative duties as required
Education and Work Experience
Previous experience in an accountancy practice
AAT qualified to at least Level 3 and above
ACA or ACCA part qualified
Experience of using accountancy software of Sage and Xero
Skills
Intermediate Excel/Word/Outlook capability
Flexible and adaptable attitude
Attention to detail
Work independently and as part of a team
Hands on approach
Willingness to assist other areas of the business
Good communication skills
