Job Responsibilities:

Financial Planning
  • Develop, manage and upkeep group budgeting process and perform analysis of actual vs. budget.
  • Revenue/Profit & Loss modelling - Develop and upkeep revenue and Profit & Loss models, forecast and projections.
  • Plan and implement annual budget cycle and carry out budget briefings to Revenue Cost Centres (RCCs).
  • Perform/supervise and review financial forecasts, projection and
    financial/business analysis.
  • Perform consolidation/collation of group business plan and operational implementation plans of business segments/units.
  • Perform/review revenue amortization.
  • Perform/supervise and analyse cost allocation between business segments and Revenue Cost Centres (RCCs).
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance analysis and reporting - Perform accurate and timely analysis of financial data and provide business insights to business heads, management and board of directors.
  • Present Financial Analysis and Reports to Management, analyse key performance indicators (Financial KPIs) including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures. Continuous monitor of financial KPIs, statistical data, highlight trends and analyse causes of unexpected variance.
  • Carry out actual, budget, forecast performance briefings to segments and RCCs.
  • Cost optimization - Assist to improve financial performance by proposing and implementing cost optimization measures and process efficiencies.
  • Perform company search of competitors' financial results and provide analysis reports for comparison between IMU/Group and competitors.

  • Costing and Pricing
  • Assist RCCs and business segments in product costing, understanding of ROI, opex, capex of project evaluation.
  • Pricing - develop cost and financial model and work collaboratively with RCCs and shared support in product pricing. This includes liasing with certain government authorities (MOE/MQA) on product price approval.

  • Systems
  • Work with IT and Systems Accountants to come out with Company/Group-wide Dashboard architecture and implement Management Dashboard Reporting

  • General
  • Supervision of staff comprising financial analysts, executives and/or officers.
  • Implement policies, guidelines and SOPs to support the processes of reporting, budgeting/financial planning, forecasting & projection.
  • As user or subject matter expert, work collaboratively with system accountant and IT project team to implement financial planning systems and reporting dashboards.

  • Job Requirements:
  • Possessed Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Possessed professional qualification in MIA, with additional qualification in CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • At least 5 - 8 years of related experience and 3 years of experience in external audit, Transaction Advisory with one of the Big 4 accounting/auditing firms.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with good grasp of Financial Reporting Standards, tax laws, indirect taxes and other general accounting/tax and business practices.
  • Strong grasp of internal controls framework through work experience in internal/external audit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with ability to work with excel formula such as lookups, pivots and MS BI tools such as Power Query, Power Pivot, Power View. Skilled in excel macro/VBA will be an advantage.
  • Familiar with working in systemized and MIS-driven environment, with ability to be hands-on with working through excel worksheets to mine voluminous data and dashboards.
  • Superior analytical skill possesses excellent thinking skill and demonstrate ability to think outside the box.
  • Good articulation skill with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Able to write good financial reports and possess excellent presentation skill.
  • Resilient and is able to work under intense pressure and deliver with tight deadlines.
  • Strong in leadership with ability to train a small team in technical
    accounting/system skills and is able to chart the team's developmental and performance needs.
  • Highly driven individual, result oriented, a self-starter and a change agent.
  • Meticulous and possess high standard of accuracy and precision.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skill with ability to deal with people of all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.
