Job Purpose

As the Associate Client Advisor you will be part of a dynamic and evolving business advisory team that provides an outstanding quality of work and service to our clients. The role includes year end statutory accounting work, corporation tax work, business advisory aspects and financial outsourcing.

You will have the opportunity to advance your knowledge, develop your technical skills, and put this into practice as part of a growing team. Our clients are both large and small and are active in a variety of sectors. You will have the opportunity with your colleagues to build relationships with these clients and work closely with other teams to provide a high quality of services.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Preparation of year-end limited company, partnership and sole trader accounts.
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations & iXBRL tagging of financial statements.
  • Maintaining the accounting records and preparing management accounts for clients, using cloud-based solutions.
  • Assisting clients on an ad hoc basis with bookkeeping services and preparation of VAT Returns.
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of cloud-based apps to advise our clients on the appropriate use of market leading technologies.
  • To raise the profile of the firm by ensuring clients expectations are continually exceeded.
  • Use own initiative to resolve issues and assist team members where possible, by providing a range of solutions and seeking advice where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • To work with other departments and understand the services that are being provided to clients.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • AAT Level 3 Qualified
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principals is essential
  • Corporation tax knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Good IT skills, intermediate level of Excel is essential.
  • Knowledge of Sage, Xero, ReceiptBank, CaseWare and Alphatax would be desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and a high concern for accuracy.
  • Demonstrates an appreciation of the importance of teamwork and responds willingly to all team members reasonable requests.
  • Actively seeks to enhance expertise and knowledge.
