Financial Accountant - Grimsby - £38,000 - £43,000

Chase & Holland are very excited to be working with one of Grimsby most prestigious companies in finding an Financial Accountant (with a biased to statutory accounts) for a minimum 12 mth contract. This is a great opportunity in a well-respected and successful business. The role is to support through a large SAP upgrade project and will give the individual fantastic exposure to get involved with all areas of financial accounting for the group.

Financial Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the process to produce annual statutory accounts for a number of group entities
• Assist the team in the accounting for the companies retail operation, including both daily control activity and month-end responsibilities
• Completion of multiple balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in the compilation of internal and external business questionnaires
• Undertaking ad-hoc accounting projects and special reviews as requested
• Journal preparation and entry
• Working within strict controls environment with the drive for efficiencies and elimination of non- value adding work

Required Skills & Experience:

• Later stages PQ or qualified accountant with strong financial reporting and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• IT skills - strong Excel and ERP systems (SAP experience desirable)
• Experience with intercompany management and reconciliations
• Ability to commit to a minimum 12 month temporary assignment
