Payroll pensions officer
Eden Brown is working in partnership with a public sector organisation, to recruit for a Payroll pensions officer based from home.
This is an amazing opportunity for a Payroll pensions officer to embark onto a prestigious public sector organisation and join a successful team.
Key
responsibilities:
1. To prepare, calculate and administer payments to staff, councillors and other payees within a strict timetable
2. To input all new starters, leavers and variation forms, calculating arrears of pay as necessary, and prepare and send all pensions starters, changes and leavers notifications, and respond to all pensions queries.
3. To input, as required, all employee expenses claims, timesheets and other temporary data.
4. To keep accurate records relating to Tax, National Insurance, SSP, SMP and Pensions Contributions for individual employees. Records kept manually and on computer systems
5 To deal with internal and external routine enquiries relating to payroll and pensions, dealing directly with employees when required.
6. Collate all information in respect of deduction from pay and Teachers pensions contributions from non Council schools, calculate payment due and make payment to appropriate agencies within deadlines.
7. To assist with internal control and validation procedures as set up by management
8. To undertake a range of business support functions including dealing with the post, photocopying, filing and accurate data inputting
9. Work in accordance with the Council's Customer Care standards
10. Administer the Councils Car Loan Scheme.
11. To undertake routine duties within the payroll and pensions teams as directed by the T-HR & Payroll Team Leader
Candidate requirements and skills:
Essential working knowledge of Statuary Maternity and sick pay
Working knowledge Occupational Sickness Maternity is a distinctive advantage
20 hours a week
Must have broadband as working from home
