SUMMARY OF ROLE:

SunPower is seeking a Finance Director to provide Finance Leadership for the site and help the factory achieve Financial and Operational excellence. The Finance Director reports to the Finance Director Fab Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Budget/Financial Management: Manages, prepares, administers, and directs the control of the budget.
  • Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control, providing relevant fiscal information to executive management team.
  • Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget.
  • Manages and sets the direction of the Factory Finance Team.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Develop and execute service level agreements with various corporate and business unit finance functions worldwide.
  • Provide services that include but are not limited to transaction processing, period end close, and account reconciliations.
  • Direct functional responsibility includes but may not be limited to general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, joint venture and cost and equity investments accounting.
  • Direct administrative responsibility includes but may not be limited to, financial planning and analysis, corporate services, and IFRS.
  • Design and generate operational metrics and monthly reporting packages for Financial Services.
  • Drive process and system enhancements based on performance metrics. - Drive or assist in the definition and standardization of the enterprise Finance processes with focus on reducing financial close cycle time, maximizing the automation of controls and business rules, meeting required statutory and legal requirements, and defining roles and responsibilities
  • Apply continuous improvement to all processes in scope of responsibility (i.e. utilize Lean or Six Sigma methodology)
  • Supports policy formulation, deployment and operation of critical systems and ERPs
  • Ensures appropriate workforce capacity planning and optimization - Manage financial audits and ensures that all findings are remediated, including providing recommendations for process improvements
  • Provides assurance that the risk framework of Financial services is managed through the effective design and operation of SOX and business controls
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce
  • Oversee the development of the teams in scope of operations, to ensure continuous service and at the same time proper career and personal growth and development.

  • RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum requirements:
  • B.S. degree or higher in Business or Accounting - Certified Public Accountant
  • At least 10-15 years of working experience, with 5-8 years' experience in finance working in the shared services industry - Understand Sarbanes Oxley, US GAAP accounting and reporting
  • Good understanding and experience in Oracle ERP
  • Can work in different work shifts - Critical capabilities include: strong leadership skills, customer orientation, and have an ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • As a senior member of the management team, the Director will exemplify and demonstrate Company core values of operating with integrity, customer service, learning and development, innovation, teamwork, and delivering results.

  • Preferred requirements:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration
  • Experience in supporting groups and stakeholders in multiple sites.
  • Manufacturing background with in-depth knowledge of cost accounting, and financial reporting for a manufacturing organization
