Financial Reporting Manager


Salary:
Up to £60,000
Southend-On-Sea
12-month fixed term contract - possibility to become permanent / extended

As our Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for reporting on the ongoing financial health and performance of the Association to both internal and external stakeholders.

We're looking for someone to challenge and improve existing controls and processes to increase the efficiency of the Financial Reporting Team and to manage the delivery of monthly Management Accounts, Annual Financial Statements, regulatory returns, performance data, related reports and lead the Association's annual budget.

You, directly, and through direct reports, will be responsible for the following:
Financial Controls and Processes
Chart of Accounts
Financial & Statutory Accounts
Audit
Tax
Management Accounting
Budget Setting
Capital Accounting
Rent & Service Charge Accounting
Regulatory Compliance & Returns


Ideally you will have:
Proven experience in a similar position - ideally within Social Housing
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards including SORP and FRS102
In depth experience implementing and improving financial controls and processes
Experience of and Involvement in the implementation of financial projects


All candidates must hold a ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA (or equivalent) qualification and be a competent IT user; MS Office applications and especially MS Excel.
