Technical Manager (International & Audit)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Manager (International & Audits), a qualified accountant, ideally CPFA, to join our respected Policy and Technical team. This position plays a key role ensuring CIPFA has a strong UK national and international technical foundation and is seen as an expert contributor to best practice standards and guidance for our members, the public finance profession, and those working in governments more widely.

You will be dynamic, confident, and driven with excellent interpersonal skills. You will have technical expertise and practical experience of supporting communities of professional practice.

This role will contribute to the development of international standards, we provide specific support to standard setting in local government, accounting, charities accounting, internal audit and public financial management and governance.

Technical Manager (International & Audit)

Responsibilities:


Providing an expert research resource which underpins the basis for CIPFA guidance, best practice frameworks, publications, commentary and thought leadership.
Developing and writing CIPFA policy positions, standards, professional guidance, publications, commentary and thought leadership pieces.
Contributing to a proactive programme of policy and technical development which positions CIPFA as a leading provider of audit and public financial management expertise.
Providing a professional secretariat function to CIPFA's international advisory panel and where required, to CIPFA faculties, panels and boards as required.

Location:
Flexible - London, Chester, Birmingham and Edinburgh.

Job type: Permanent, 36 hours per week



Salary:
up to £56,000

Benefits: 25 days annual leave, up to 10% employer's pension contribution.
