Junior Finance Analyst - Portland, Weymouth, Dorset

Up to £25,000 per annum plus competitive benefits

We now have a fantastic career opportunity available for a Junior Finance Analyst, a new role due to growth in our Finance team.

If you are highly numerate, analytical, with good communication and interpersonal skills, and you want to progress a career in Finance this role will be of interest to you. You may be working towards your formal finance or accounting qualification, but this is not essential.

What are your main duties and responsibilities as Junior Finance Analyst?

You will contribute to the team developing a 'business partnering mentality' with your key internal customers such as the Operations and Commercial departments;
You will be be involved in the regular analysis of data related to operations and commercial activity, drawing conclusions and reporting accurately;
You will focus on national minimum wage impact and analysis and future forecasting;
You will assist with pay rate reviews, impact and analysis, dealing with pay & charge rate enquiries and keeping the data current on relevant databases;
You will work closely with the Commercial team to support their contract tenders and costing process and contribute to post-tender reviews;
You will work with the team to help identify and implement new work processes and more efficient ways of working;
You will support the identification and implementation of new technology requirements to improve service levels to your key internal customers;
Producing standard weekly reporting related to commercial activity, spend and analysis;
Maintaining accurate records and databases;

First and foremost you need to be hungry build a career in Finance. You may have formal qualifications, though these are not essential;
You will have experience in a similar role, having worked in a busy finance team;
You will be highly numerate and analytical and able to demonstrate both;
You will ideally have finance, accounting, economics or business related educational qualifications;
You will be comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems quickly if needed;
You will have a good level of working knowledge with MS Office;
You are highly organised, have a good attention to detail and can display a high degree of accuracy in your work;
