Accounts Assistant

I'm looking for experienced Account Assistants to join a well respected manufacturing company in their Finance team. The main roles and responsibilities for the position are as follows:

*Supervise and support the external SSC (Infosys) on the transactional service they provide to business including AP, AR, Interco, netting and bank postings.
*Supporting the centralised collection team in order to assist them with the on-time collection of company's debt and queries resolution.
*Preparation, in accordance with timetable & deadlines, of monthly financial information. For example, cash books, journal preparation & posting and all supplementary reports that meets the needs of management, the company, government and statutory bodies.
*To provide stakeholders with both periodic and ad-hoc information and analysis in order to assist them with improved decision-making. For example, Open PO's, Gross WIP/Finished Goods Movement & Short falling/NSV Provisions information etc.
*Recording and spot-checking Raw Material stocks, WIP and Finished Goods.
*Conduct full balance sheet reconciliations each month in accordance with Corporate timetable and compliance with the site CAM and SOX controls.
*Ensuring financial consistency in accordance with SOX, corporate guidelines and support best practice approaches in accordance with their policies.
*Preparation of VAT returns, EC sales returns, intrastat returns and to ensure compliance surrounding these areas.
*Assist with all internal and external audit requests within the published timescale for these audits.
*Ad Hoc Projects as required by the Assistant Accountant and by the Finance Manager

My client are looking for a candidate who has experience within a similar position, someone who has worked in a manufacturing/production environment previously and gained or working towards their AAT qualification.

Hours - Monday to Friday = 9-5
Salary - £20,000 - £28,000 - DOE
