THE COMPANY: My client is looking to recruit a Chief Finance Officer to lead the delivery of the financial strategy of the organisation and oversee all areas of corporate services including HR, IT, Support Centre, Estates and Facilities.

The organisation is a leading Humanitarian charity providing aid to poor and needy people in over 30 crisis-hit countries worldwide and this role is pivotal to the continued success and growth of the organisation.

THE JOB: This is a highly specialist role requiring experience of leading a multi-disciplinary team and working in close collaboration with colleagues across the length and breadth of the organisation and in external settings.

You will provide strong and effective strategic leadership for all financial functions of the charity. This is inclusive of robust strategic financial direction across the organisation, embedding a strong culture of value for money, as well as ensuring financial transparency and stringent financial governance in line with a varied income stream.

This role will Implement and assist in the development, review and maintenance of all relevant policies including Health and Safety, Staff Welfare, Conflicts of Interest and all those required by regulatory bodies and sector standards for INGO's applying best practices and ensure statutory compliance with Health and Safety legislation, conducting risk assessments, monitoring performance and reviewing procedures across all areas.

You will oversee all aspects of HR function and support the Head of HR to develop a modern and relevant HR strategy and work with the Executive Board in developing a culture of belongingness, welfare and care that represents the charity's vision and direction.

You will oversee the charity's estates portfolio and lead on best use of existing and future estates portfolio, including design and execution of sound business plan for optimal financial returns.

THE PERSON: You will be an ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent qualified professional with a solutions-orientated approach to leadership, and the ability to take lead from the front and make informed decisions in response to an ever changing landscape.

You will have significant experience of initiating, delivering, leading and embedding change initiatives and be capable, organised and self-motivated, with the ability to see through tasks to completion with a keen eye for detail.

You will need to be able to evidence experience of supporting and leading team outside the finance arena at a strategic level ideally within a large complicated organisation.

This will be a pivotal role within the organisation therefore you will ideally have had experience of operating at this level as you will also play a critical role in serving the wider vision of the charity through serving on the Executive Board.

Experience of working within a Not for Profit or charity would be advantageous.
