Grade 7/8 dependent on experience
(Actual salary ranging from £20,061 to £22,148)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking Finance Officer to join our busy Finance team here at The Mirfield Free Grammar.

Reporting into The MFG Bursar, the successful applicant will be responsible for various accounting tasks.

Some of the main duties and responsibilities include;

• Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts for The MFG including extraction of all relevant data from the PS Financials accounting system

• Producing expenditure reports for specified budget holders on the progress of their spending vs budget (e.g. Capitation) and highlighting any potential overspends

• Assisting in the maintenance of the Academy's fixed assets register and the correct calculation of depreciated on a monthly basis

• Assisting the Bursar to make external financial submissions and prepare the documentation for external audit
