Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant

What will the role of Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant entail?
As the Bookkeeper you'll play an important role in the running of our small yet busy office, and you won't be afraid to be hands on and get stuck into a wide range of tasks including purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll activities. Your duties will include, although not be limited to:
* Paying invoices, processing credit card payments and posting cash receipts
* Completing daily bank reconciliation
* Dealing will billing and invoice enquiries
* Undertaking credit control activities including chasing outstanding invoices
* Maintaining accurate balance of debtors and creditors
* Sending monthly statements, reminders and final demands
* Processing employee wages and expenses
* Completing VAT returns
* Monitoring and processing incoming emails and answering the telephone
* Responding to internal and external customer enquiries
You will also be required to complete the following tasks, so previous experience would be ideal, but is not essential, as full training will be provided:
* Dealing with multi-currency transactions and currency trade deals
* Knowledge of EC Sales List (ESL) and Intrastat
The Package
As the Bookkeeper, you'll receive a salary in the region of £20,000 to £25,000 with the level dependent on experience and qualifications, plus a range of benefits including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, free car parking and an early finish on Fridays.
You'll be employed on a permanent contract, working 39 hours per week (although flexibility will be required to meet business needs), Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm, and Friday 8am to 3:30pm.
What will I need to be considered for this Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant vacancy?
* Proven experience within a similar role encompassing bookkeeping and accounts administration
* High level of numeracy and literacy
* IT literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Timely and accurate data entry skills
* Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to tasks
* Excellent telephone manner and communication skills, both written and verbal


Location:
Bala (North Wales), with excellent road links for commute from Wrexham, Oswestry, St Asaph, Llanrwst, Bangor, Mold and Chester.
