Our client is an established but modern business with offices easily accessible by car in St Ives.

Following a restructure and with exciting plans on the horizon they now have a requirement for a qualified accountant to join them for a period of about 6 months starting at the beginning of November.

Providing support to the Financial Controller the role will suit someone who is well-versed in working independently and enjoys working in a varied role.

Working on a variety of tasks over the course of the assignment your role will include;

VAT reconciliations, working with HMRC to unravel any discrepancies
Resolving outstanding queries with AP
Assisting Financial Controller with preparation of financial information for year end
Financial analysis
Putting together detailed cashflows
Preparing existing system for readiness for migration to a new finance system
Analysis of costs
Ad hoc projects subject to needs of the business

Strong Excel skills are essential to the success of this role as you will be manipulating data on a regular basis and if you have experience of systems implementation that would be an advantage but not essential.
