Accountancy Apprenticeship Level 3

£13k-£17k per annum depending on experience

Full time: 35 hours per week

Worthing-based chartered accountancy practice requires keen, ambitious accounts assistant to work alongside the director and 2 other members of staff in the Freedom Works co-working space.

We're looking for an enthusiastic individual who will fit into this small friendly firm, and who will become an invaluable member of the team providing support to a wide range of businesses and individuals on a day to day basis.

This will be a varied role including:

Bookkeeping for limited companies
Management accounts adjustments (prepayments, accruals etc)
Assisting other staff with reports, Excel summaries, data checks etc
Troubleshooting client problems with their bookkeeping software
Sole trader accounts
Self-Assessment tax returns
Setting up cloud accounting systems (Xero & Receipt Bank)
Administration (maintaining database, scanning, electronic filing etc)

Training will also be provided, including Excel, Xero, Receipt Bank, Taxcalc, anti-money laundering and more.

Desired qualifications

Hold an AAT or Bookkeeping Level 2 certificate
GCSE or equivalent English and Maths Grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent would be an advantage

Future Prospects

Potential to progress into a permanent role after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
