Purchase Ledger Clerk

Our client is a well established construction company based in Hertfordshire. They are well known for retaining their staff by offering regular development opportunities and the consistent recognition of employees with various schemes.

Due to their continued growth they are seeking to employ a Purchase Ledger Clerk

The main objective of the role is to make sure all purchases made are recorded and paid for in a timely manner and to enable accurate financial reporting to be produced. Duties will include;

* Highlight invoice number, date and nett value on all purchase invoices

* Sort invoices by job number then alphabetically in each company

* File Heating department delivery tickets

* Match invoices with order and delivery ticket and then code, sort any queries with price/order or proof of delivery for Heating department

* Input all purchase ledger invoices onto system

* Clear invoices where possible or send to heating department to authorise

* 7 day cheque/bacs run

* Monthly cheque/bacs run

* Reconcile purchase ledger statements for heating department alternate months

* Deal with and take relevant action concerning chasing letters and telephone calls for all companies
