Qualified Financial Controller / Finance Reporting and Planning Manager (ACCA / ACA / CIMA) with the ability to present, analyse and interpret complex financial data and build highly effective and collaborative working relationships is required by a well-established Charity in Reading, Berkshire.



SALARY:
£54,414 - £57,133 per annum + Benefits

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Qualified Financial Controller / Finance Reporting and Planning Manager (ACCA / ACA / CIMA) (known within the organisation as a Finance Planning, Reporting and Systems Manager) with the ability to present, analyse and interpret complex financial data and build highly effective and collaborative working relationships.

The Qualified Financial Controller / Finance Reporting and Planning Manager (ACCA / ACA / CIMA) helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by leading a highly-efficient planning and reporting service that provides a holistic view of the financial and operational performance of the Association to the Executive and senior leadership, enabling them to make short and long-term decisions which ensure best use of the organisation's funds.

As a Qualified Financial Controller / Finance Reporting and Planning Manager (ACCA / ACA / CIMA) you will have the ability to think strategically and understand the broader organisational issues, whilst maintaining a clear view of overall priorities.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Qualified Financial Controller / Finance Reporting and Planning Manager (ACCA / ACA / CIMA) will include:

Act as deputy for Head of Finance and PlanningSet a sustainable financial strategy to present to the Head of Finance and Planning and Executive Directors Build and maintain influential and collaborative relationships with the Executive Directors and wider Senior Management teamResponsible for managing the outputs of the planning, budgeting and forecasting and reporting processesAutomating the planning cycle to provide fully integrated 5-year plans, budgets and forecasts, introduce rolling forecasting, and streamline the monthly management accounts and manage and enhance operational performance reportingDevelop and coach the Planning Managers and the Business Partner to support the business Develop and coach the Management Accounts team to adopt a continuous improvement approach Develop and coach Financial Systems team to increase standardised templates and reports Develop and coach Performance Reporting Manager to work with the Finance & Planning team Seek innovative solutions, working with the Operational Efficiency Lead to model, benchmark and understand the sensitivity of different operational approaches

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified finance professionalExperience across a wide breadth of strategic and financial responsibilitiesTeam leadership and development experienceExperience and understanding of the impact of changeDemonstrated the ability to build and establish a credible business partnership with all areas of the organisationDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of financial and organisational contextFormulating and implementing strategyUp to date knowledge of financial analysis techniquesAn ability to think strategically and understand the broader organisational issues, whilst maintaining a clear view of overall prioritiesPersuasive and credible influencing skillsStrong customer service focusDiagnostic and advisory skills - the ability to take on new concepts, analyse a complex problem/situation, think creatively and advise on a range of optionsExcellent communication and team-working skillsAble to coach Directors and senior managers in order to develop their financial and business management capabilityAble to present, analyse and interpret complex financial dataTenacity and resilienceExcellent business modelling skillsStrong Microsoft IT skills, in particular Excel spreadsheet skillsFlexibilityExcellent writing and presentation skillsEligibility to work in the UK
