The role:
The OTC/VAT Specialist will coordinate and control financial activities for Packaging related One Time Cost (OTC) on a global basis and support VAT/Intrastat reporting preparation. The candidate will be accountable for performing OTC PR's (Purchase requisition) and GR's (Goods receipt) in a timely manner, capture OTC relevant financial information in respective systems and respond to inquiries from different internal stakeholders on OTC status. Person will be responsible to maintain the process alignment with global, internal parties and will support respective functions in OTC-related process changes. In VAT area the person will support more experienced team members in preparation of supporting files for VAT and Intrastat reports.
Main areas of responsibility:
Responsible for managing OTC process from the financial - performing timely PR (Purchase requisition) creation in SAP
Ensure proper allocation of Packaging OTC to the respective cost centers and IO (Internal Order) accounts
Develop and maintain effective partnership working relationships with all key global stakeholders (especially R&D, Tax, Finance, and Markets) and support future process changes with OTC-related expertise
Enter OTC relevant financial information in the current systems for all projects
Perform other tasks given by the direct manager and perform reporting to superior management as needs arise
Support in monthly preparation of multiple European VAT reports, Intrastat and EC Sales Lists
Review invoices for VAT compliance purposes
Reconcile VAT returns to VAT accounts
You as a professional:
University degree - Business diploma with a focus on finance
Accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) is preferred
2 years experience in FMCG companies ideally in Finance Planning / Analysis
Excellent finance and accounting knowledge. Proficient with financial systems and tools
Strong command of English Language (oral and written)
SAP experience
Strong analytical skills
SAP R/3 & Business Warehouse experience
