DNV GL Global Centre Finance Gdynia, delivers high quality services to European countries, related to Record to Repost process, Accounts Payable and Receivable. Services are rendered in close collaboration with Regional Centres, together developing the Global Shared Service Finance function for DNV GL.
We are seeking a Financial Controller
for our team based in Gdynia, Poland.

Financial Controller is a member of a team of Financial Controllers delivering high quality controlling services worldwide.

Key tasks:

  • Preparation of monthly management & KPI reports which facilitate global or regional GSS performance management
  • Analysis and control of financial data
  • Support implementation and effective use of IT tools and processes (e.g. further improvement of BI tools)
  • Support of planning and forecasting processes
  • Support and conduct tasks related to the monthly closing processes
  • Close cooperation with Global GSS Controlling and regional/unit Management/Controlling
  • Master data maintenance (e.g. structures in finance systems/reorg tool)
  • Support ERP/Oracle implementations and drive system improvements
  • Support of improvement initiatives


To maximize your chances, you need:

  • University degree, e.g. in controlling/finance, business administration, IT, management
  • 3+ years of experience as Financial Controller/Analyst or Data Analyst in a multinational company
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Very good MS Office skills (especially Excel)
  • Experience with ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools
  • Project and time management skills as well as strong organizational skills
  • Strong team player, capable and confident to challenge the status quo and drive for continual improvement
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to evaluate problems and recommend pragmatic and effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness
  • Positive attitude and customer focus
  • Attentive to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks regularly and work under pressure
  • Passion and willingness to learn and understand new software/accounting systems
