Highly commercial opportunity at a global Private Equity house, suited to an experienced Fund Accountant or Fund Controller coming from a background in private equity funds (or related asset class). This top tier brand name fund has considerable firepower in the UK, Europe and US with London operating as their main hub in terms of deals and investment activity. Their Funds Finance team has grown steadily over time and this unique new opening - created due to growth - will focus exclusively on their internal funds and vehicles in what is seen as a highly critical role.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the individual will have primary responsibility for reporting and administration of various internal carry and co-investment schemes, in addition to many deal specific schemes. The role will involve a significant amount of autonomy and exposure to all structures and schemes, whilst working very closely with the broader Fund Finance team with respect to fund matters impacting the schemes. The individual will be required to manage the external administrator and interact closely with Investor Relations, Legal, HR and Tax teams; as such you'll need to be a confident, approachable and with superb relationship building skills. Longer term this role could evolve into a more senior position and/or it is almost certain there will be an opportunity to move into other areas of finance or deal support given the size of the firm.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified accountant - ACA, CA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent - with excellent academics and around 2 to 5 years' experience or equivalent in-house in a private equity (or similar) fund. This is essential given the technical experience required with some understanding of carried interest accounting and co-investments essential.
  • A detail-orientated person who can manage multiple deadlines and reporting deliverables, operating largely autonomously in a busy and dynamic operating environment.
  • A personable individual with a good sense of humour; driven and career-minded but also keen to be part of a highly sociable and down to earth Finance team with an inclusive and diverse culture.

Please apply online for immediate consideration or for a confidential discussion please contact Glen Roberts on . All applications and conversations will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
