On behalf of our client, a progressive and growing organisation, based in Antrim, we have a new opportunity for a Billing Specialist to cover contract of up to 12 months with the opportunity of a permanent role.
The Billing Specialist will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to contract customers through the provision of excellent aftersales care. You will provide administrative and analytical support within the Billing Department as required and to lead in the production of accurate and timely industrial and commercial contract bills for customers.
Duties include:
* Ensure contract customers are billed accurately and in a timely manner
* Conduct regular bill audits to ensure accuracy and quality of information sent to customers Maintenance of billing matrices and supply margins
* Assist Credit Control Department with payment issues and the resolution of disputes
* Update and maintain contract information including pricing data and pass through charge
Criteria:
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English & Maths Previous experience in a billing role or analytical role
* Previous experience resolving customer/client queries
* Proficient in the use of MS Excel
* Self-motivated, with an ability to work independently
* Ability to process large volumes of information quickly and accurately
* Ability to deal with a heavy workload in a demanding environment
* Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop productive cross-departmental relationships
* Excellent problem solving skills
Desirable Criteria
* 3rd level qualification in a scientific discipline
* Knowledge of gas contract billing arrangements and industry processes
* 2 years previous relevant experience in a regulated environment
Salary offered £20000 p.a. (37.5 hours Monday to Friday office hours, early finish on a Friday) plus a range of benefits including:
A performance related award of up to 15% of basic salary. Holidays: 25 days annual leave, plus 10 statutory days & 2.5 'company days'. Group stakeholder pension scheme - 4% minimum Employee Contribution, 8% Employer Contribution. Life Assurance. Private Medical Insurance. Group Income Protection. Gym Subsidy. Sickness Absence. Employee Assistance and Vocational Rehabilitation Programmes provided free of charge.
