Robert Half Finance & Accountancy are pleased to be supporting our client recruiting a new Rebate Accountant position based in St Albans. The role involves balance sheet reconciliations, accurals and managing suppliers payments i.e. accounts payable, working with suppliers, advising them on payments due and managing the process.

Role

The Rebate Accountant will be responsible for :

• Maintaining data integrity of rebate management system; ensuring all rebates & other supplier contributions agreements are loaded & payments from suppliers (BACS, credit / debit note or cheque) are correctly allocated within the agreed terms.
• Invoicing for rebates, contract support and trade days - and associated debtor collection
• Managing debt recovery from suppliers
• Quarterly rebate realignment analysis and preparing journals for management accounts
• Liaising with Accounts Payable/Procurement where supplier payment issues cause challenges in collecting income from suppliers
• Balance sheet reconciliation of rebate system debtor to General Ledger debtor balances
• Preparing any financial reports for the Rebate Manager to present to the Board as required

Profile

We are looking for part qualified Accountant or studier (ACCA, CIMA) who has the ability to review commercial contracts, pricing and rebates, has an understanding or experience of Accounts Payable/Credit Control and liaising with suppliers for payment and has experience of balance sheet reconciliations. Accuracy & attention to detail are vital.

Salary & Benefits

Competitive salary between £30,000 - £35,000 plus study support & benefits.
