As an Assistant Team Manager, you will be aligned with our Nixon Williams business in Blackpool. Nixon Williams are Trustpilot's 'Number 1 Accounting Firm' So, if you're an Accountant with experience of mentoring juniors, then we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Supporting a Team Manager in the line management of a team of Accountants
• Reviewing accounts and tax returns completed by other team members to ensure accuracy
• Providing support and technical expertise to colleagues were necessary
• Manage a portfolio of approximately 80 clients
• Preparation/ reconciliation of annual/ closure accounts and Corporation Tax computations to final stage
• Drafting personal/ company tax returns for client approval, providing advice and guidance to clients when required
• Producing monthly profit calculations and running payroll
• Assist in planning workloads to ensure that a timely and accurate service is provided to clients
• Liaise with HMRC regarding any compliance checks made on any of our client's files

What we are looking for:

• AAT/ ATT qualified Accountant who is working towards ACCA/ CTA/ QBE
• Demonstrable experience in an accountancy practice
• People or performance management experience is desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel
• Detailed knowledge of HMRC guidelines
