With key stakeholders in different parts of the globe, we are currently seeking the services of an experienced UK based (Bristol) Finance Director with a demonstrated track record of managing financial strategy and operations within fast growing SME environment.

The Role

The Finance Director will oversee all financial activity and strategy at Hybrid. Reporting to the Managing Director and the Board and managing a team of two direct reports, you will be a highly motivated leader. As a key part of the management team, you will work at pace across all of the key financial functions, providing timely management information, contributing to overall strategic decision making, driving the future direction and success of Hybrid.

This role suits a driven, ambitious candidate who wants to be an essential part of an innovative company as it moves into the next stage of its growth cycle.

Key

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly financial and operational reporting for P&L, BS & Headcount
  • Management of payroll in UK, Malaysia and Australia
  • Managing credit control and debt collection
  • Processing of supplier payments in line with agreed terms
  • Supporting the creation of budgeting and rolling forecasts for the business
  • Tracking and reporting of company KPIs
  • Management of banking and credit facilities
  • Managing international payments and exchange rates
  • Supporting our accountants to create annual financial statements and corporation tax
  • Quarterly VAT Returns & EC Sales Lists
  • Line management and development of the Finance Manager/Supervisor and Assistant
  • Be part of strategy, MI and presentations involving lenders and / or private equity
  • Advisor and counsel to the Owner, Board and Managing Director (UK)

Requirements:

  • Multiple years of experience and success as a finance leader with exposure to media, digital, agency, advertising or technology sectors
  • A clear sense of how to combine financial strategy with operational management
  • Outstanding financial management ability
  • Ability to multi-task and manage daily pressures
  • Interest in the rapidly changing media market and growth ambitions for Hybrid
  • Exceptional analytical and IT / digital skills
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills
  • Leadership and management skills to grow and develop abilities across the finance team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact between key individuals and teams throughout the business
  • Initiative to identify opportunities to drive process improvements across Hybrid
  • Direct experience with or exposure to lending, PE, merger and acquisition activity
  • ACCA/CIMA qualified and degree qualifications
