Accounts Assistant

Macclesfield

£23k-£25k Depending on Skills and Experience

This quality driven company, which supplies glazing products into the trade and retail market, is hiring an Accounts Assistant with at least two years' experience to join the progressive and supportive team

As the Accounts Assistant, you will report to the Managing Director and have direct support from the Group Financial Controller, in a well-established business.

Roles and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Raising sales invoices
  • Purchase invoice processing
  • Credit Control
  • Maintaining the company purchase and sales ledger
  • Cash book maintenance
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing expense requests & supplier payment runs
  • Preparing weekly & monthly payroll
  • Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers
  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Preparing and processing journals
  • Preparing and submitting the VAT return

The successful candidate MUST:

  • Have experience in a similar role
  • Work autonomously and within a team
  • Be able to work in a busy, fast paced environment
  • Have excellent attention to detail and be able to work to deadlines
  • Be a strong communicator
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Have experience using Sage 50
  • If possible experience of using Window Designer - full training will be provided
