An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a large manufacturing in Doncaster who are recruiting for a Financial Planning Analyst.

The FP&A Analyst will work closely with the local management team and key stakeholders across the business, as well as the Group's wider finance team

The Job

Working closely with the Head of Finance the role will be responsible for the shaping and delivery of management information, internal reporting requirements and cost management / tracking (including Project spend).

  • Preparation and submission of month end results detailing expected performance
  • Delivery of monthly reporting packs, outlining key financial performance metrics
  • Business partner with senior stakeholders to create cost budgets, monitor actual spend and help to identify cost saving opportunities, efficiencies and potential risks
  • Provide timely commentary and variance analysis to support understanding of financial performance against budgets, forecasts and prior year
  • Draft communications to investor relations relating to performance, including gathering supporting evidence
  • Partner with the operations / support functions, helping them to understand and control key cost drivers
  • Work with key stakeholders and project managers to create business cases for proposed project / investment expenditure and subsequently track actual spend and benefit realisation

The Person

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with experience in a medium/large company
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in technical aspects of accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Confident in working with senior stakeholders
  • Engaging communication style and the ability to explain complex financial matters to non-finance colleagues
  • Highly motivated with a pro-active attitude towards work
  • Professional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure
