Robert Walters have partnered with a growing Private Equity backed business on the search for a Finance Business Partner to take ownership of the South West Region. This role is a key leadership role and will provide support and challenge to the Director of Region as well as working closely with the area development managers with the key commercial strategic growth targets.

This role is a key leadership role and will provide support and challenge to the Director of Region as well as working closely with the area development managers with the key commercial strategic growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

Providing high quality, robust, commercial finance partnering to the key stakeholders as well as supporting the implementation and delivery of regional budget targets and growth initiatives

    • Responsibility for managing all P&L cost lines for the region, including early identification of issues, or opportunities, within the cost base and providing challenge, support and analysis required to drive delivery of actions in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for final review and sign-off of the monthly management accounts (P&L) for the region
    • Lead the annual budget setting process across the region for all revenue and cost lines, to deliver a robust budget with associated KPI's that performance can be managed against.
    • Lead all regional forecasting processes for all revenue and cost lines.
    • Weekly reporting of regional business unit performance to the key stakeholders.
    • Support the regional leadership team with other ad-hoc projects or analysis as required.
    • Financial appraisal and modelling for significant capital investment projects
    • Act as finance representative for other key regional, or national business initiatives as required.
    • Develop the financial awareness of the operational leadership through delivery of training as required.

    The successful candidate will be qualified accountant ACA/CIMA/ACCA with a proven background in commercial finance and a track record in adding value through commercial business partnering. This role requires a good communicator that can build relationships across all levels. Please note that this role does require travel across the region to different sites.
