Over the years, Commercial Mortgages has grown to a hugely successful part of the Business Finance division, enabling business owners, property developers and investors to achieve their goals.

Our client's Commercial Real Estate business sources and progresses quality Commercial Mortgages loan applications through to completion.

What would your day look like?


You will report into the Senior Lending Manager, who will be your line manager and responsible for things like performance review meetings, 1-1s and development conversations.

The role of Assistant Lending Manager is really important to us. You will be responsible for:


• Providing dedicated support and assistance to the CRE Commercial Mortgage Senior Lending Manager (SLM) and Lending Manager (LM) Team progressing Commercial Mortgage and complex BTL applications from Initial Enquiry through to Completion.


• Dealing with case management on the ACUMEN system and will also assist in supporting introducer relationships alongside the SLM & LM.


• Ultimately progressing to source, assess, and manage own cases through the process from Initial Enquiry through to Completion.


• Delivery of quality data input and management on all cases, ensuring 100% integrity of information quality.


• Initial assessment and response to initial enquiries with guidance from relevant SLM/LM or immediate allocation to relevant Regional team member.


• Prepare ACUMEN for full Lending Submission to include as required - data entry on case cashflows, undertaking tenant Experian searches, instructing Call Credit as required by the Regional Team.


• Assessment and recommendation of conditions to credit or lending support pre credit - referral to SLM/LM may be required.

What do we expect of you?


• Some knowledge / experience within the Commercial Mortgage sector generally, with a knowledge of the Commercial Mortgage products and loan structures available from Lenders.


• Knowledge and understanding of the application of PRA requirements


• An appreciation of banking credit processes, which may include experience of underwriting, or completion matters


• An understanding of legal requirements, property valuation issues, and banking processes to assist loan drawdown in a timely manner


• Ability to work on own initiative


• High level of communication skills


• Ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues, customers, brokers and other professional partners
