James Adams is recruiting for a Financial Controller to head up the finance team and help drive the commercial strategy of one of the UK's fastest-growing Life Sciences businesses. The business is expecting to turnover in excess of £100 Mill in the next 9 - 12 months.
Our client has experienced unprecedented growth over the last 6 months and wants to keep building on this. They want to hire a tried and tested Group Financial Controller / Finance Director to join the business to guide it into the future as it continues to grow, scale and innovate.
The Group Financial Controller role will have 7 reports - with 1 direct report which is their current Head of financial planning and analytics, with the other 6 members of the finance team reporting into the FP&A.
This hire is urgent and our client would ideally like to speak to candidates that would be able to join before the end of the year.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities. Excellent consolidations experience and experience of working in complex environments will be essential for the right candidate.
Our Customer is looking for strong IFRS to future proof them, although this is not immediately required for the role.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day company accountsLine management of the existing finance teamAssist with financial planningIdeally you will have worked at FC/FD level within £100 Mill+ Turnover organisation and have worked with a complex PLC environment. Oversee Budget forecasting and cash flow managementEnsure government compliance in all tasksQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years experience in the areaFully qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or ACAProficiency with current financial softwareThis is an incredibly exciting opportunity for the right individual to join a business that is entering a new chapter in their development and diversification.
