Transaction Recruitment are supporting our Birmingham based client in their search for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the business on an initial six month fixed term contract basis, offering an immediate start. You will be working remotely as part of a successful team which is responsible for managing weekly and monthly payrolls from start to finish for 700+ employees. My client is looking for a proactive candidate with a passion for payroll and demonstrable experience of working in an environment where you will be given full autonomy to achieve results. Due to the current climate the successful candidate will be given full I.T. support and training to work from home for the full duration of the contract if necessary.
Daily duties and experience required includes:

• Minimum of 12 months experience working on a large payroll from start to finish

• Processing starters and leavers

• Calculating holiday and national insurance

• Calculating SSP, SMP and SPP

• Pensions knowledge

• Manual calculations experience

• Query resolution

• Up to date payroll legislation knowledge
