Position: UK Payroll Manager

Term: PermanentRemuneration: £42K - £55K pa, Full Benefits & Site BonusOur Client; a globally operating major Aerospace manufacturing company are seeking an enthusiastic and talented UK Payroll Manager on a permanent basis. A competitive, albeit negotiable and based upon relevant experience basic salary is on offer to the successful candidate, together with a full comprehensive benefits package, inclusive of company bonus scheme.

This position is responsible for the administration of the company's time and attendance and payroll systems. You'll be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll related client service, including recordkeeping and reporting. This position provides accounting and project management support to Finance.

You will take responsibility for the management, preparation and processing of weekly/bi-weekly and monthly for 800+ employees across 4 sites; reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of approved overtime, tracking and deducting monies owed and dealing with any other payment matters. You'll have responsibility for the co-ordination efforts between payroll, human resources and other departments to ensure the proper flow and maintenance of employee data; including overtime, absences, head count, filing tax and voluntary deduction reports, updating and recording company payroll procedures.

Qualifications & Experience ideally needed;

  • Should ideally be educated with a Degree/HND in a Business related field, although lesser qualifications, but plenty of relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Should ideally possess 5-7 years' related professional experience with primary responsibility for time and attendance and payroll administration and processing.
  • Should ideally have 3-5 years' experience in supporting Finance and Accounting, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Accounting.
  • Should ideally have experience working as a Payroll Manager within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of payroll and accounting practices and principles required.
  • You will be experienced in managing processes, data entry management, reporting skills, benefits administration, financial and accounting skills.
  • You will have relevant payroll experience, being compliant with current statutory regulations.
  • Should have a familiarity with payroll software / HRIS (e.g. SAP, ADP, Kronos) and MS Office (especially MS Excel).
  • Aside to computer literacy, you'll have a keen eye for detail, an analytical mind and good math skills, not to mention also having excellent communication skills.
