As the Accounts payable clerk you will primarily assist the Finance manager in all respective duties within the finance department. You will have previous experience of working within a busy finance department and be confident dealing with both purchase and sales ledgers.

This will be a varied position where they will be scope for you to develop into assisting with month end accounting routines.

Credit Control and Query ResolutionLiaising with Site/Area ManagersProcessing Purchase Orders and Goods ReceiptingProcessing Purchase InvoicesDealing with Purchase Invoice/Order queries both internally and externallyRaising Sales InvoicesReportingHousekeeping and Maintenance of Sales and Purchase ledgersMonth end payment runs and ad hoc paymentsReceipt PostingAssisting with weekly payroll

Experience/Skills

At least 2 years' experience working in FinanceSound knowledge of sales and purchase ledgers IT Proficient - good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)Knowledge of Sage 200 would be advantageousExperience of Credit Control and payrollUsed to working with multi companies and multi ledgers

Personal Skills

Highly organised with the ability to prioritiseGood communication skills - both written and verbalComfortable with liaising with external contacts in a professional mannerA team player with strong personal values, showing integrity and proactive work approachGood attention to detail

The package

Salary is up to 25k with death in service benefitHours Monday to Friday 8.30-17.00Holidays 28days inc bank increasing with longevity
