Fantastic Finance Manager opportunity with an established, growing, local SME / not-for-profit organisation.

This role is an integral part of this entrepreneurial small business (c2mil turnover), and will lead one member of staff whilst reporting to the team of directors / board. This is an end-to-end #1 position, responsible for the timely preparation of accounts and smooth running of an operational finance function, with a business that truly gives back to the community.

Progression to Finance Director will be available to the successful candidate.

Role

  • Full ownership over operational finance function (accounting & transactional) for a ot-for-profit SME.
  • Supervising one accountant and reporting to the directors / board.
  • Transitioning accounting function in-house from an external accountancy practice.
  • Full control over balance sheet and monthly management accounts production, with associated analysis.
  • Creation and presentation of MI to senior leadership team.
  • Collation / approval of payroll for external supplier.
  • Forecasting, budgeting, and supporting with new business planning.
  • Oversight of transactional ledgers and group cash flow.
  • Business partnering with non-finance functions both internally and externally.

Profile

  • Qualified or QBE Accountant status (essential)
  • Prior experience in an Accountant or Finance Manager role (essential)
  • Comfortable as #1 in finance.
  • Strong working transactional & accountancy knowledge.
  • Strong interest or experience in the not-for-profit / public sector.

Revenues are c£2mil (2019) and services are currently being expanded. Opportunities for progression are also available from this Finance Manager role.

Salary & Benefits

  • £34,000-38,000 basic salary
  • 25 days holiday, increasing after 3-years of service
