Senior Credit Risk Analyst is an integral role to the business in ensuring that there is a fit for purpose Credit Risk policy in place and underpinned by robust processes & procedures. The primary role of the Senior Credit Risk Analyst is to build & continually develop the Credit Risk policy rules to compliment the companies risk appetite in maximizing revenue and minimizing losses.
Role:
- Manage day to day 3rd Party Suppliers i.e. Credit Bureau etc
- Review and maintain the Credit Strategy and Risk operating models to manage acquisition, bad debt and churn strategy
- To work with Debt Recovery, Sales, Commercial & Legal/Compliance leads to implement any recommended policy/process changes.
- Perform systematic and regular reviews of the Credit vetting strategy, proposing relevant changes with key stakeholders through agreed governance
- Propose changes to collections processes and strategy in a transparent manner with key Collections stakeholders, ensuring any potential risk is highlighted via Risk Profile Reporting/Analysis
- Manage the delivery of reporting and analysis relating to risk assessment performance, risk profile, customer experience and the financial benefit associated with Credit Risk processes i.e. debt/loss avoidance
- Work closely with the collection's teams regarding debtor performance and to ensure that operational requirements are met.
- Provide project support accordingly including Modelling, Forecasting, Cash Flow and Bad Debt for business justifications
- Continued development and understanding of Credit management tools at both System and process level.
- Work with Legal to ensure Credit Risk policy and Processes are aligned to legal and regulatory terms and conditions
Skills & Experience:
- Good working knowledge and experience of Debt Management, Acquisition and Credit Management functions
- Understanding of relational databases.
- Data mining design skills
- SQL Language Skills.
- Statistical Analysis Skills.
- Experience of Liaising with Senior Managers.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office packages, Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience working with Sets of Data
- Scorecard Development Experience
- Understanding of Financial Practices
- Ability to plan and organise both teams and own workload.
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with other departments
- Capable of consistently working to a high standard
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation
