Accounts Director - Hertford, Hertfordshire
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Director level candidate to join a prestigious regional practice based in Central Hertford.
This role represents a significant hire for the firm who are looking to continue their ambitious growth plans in the Hertfordshire region. The Director would be adding their experience and knowledge to an established General Practice/ Accounts department.
Taking on responsibility for a significant portfolio of large, technically complex SMEs, OMBs from a range of industry sectors
Manage the end to end accounts process, including budgets and timescales
As part of the role as an Accounts and Business Services Director, the successful candidate would be leading a team of all levels, from trainee to manager.
Responsible for the success of the department, while managing client relationships, winning work and developing your team.
Working closely with clients to understand their business needs
Ensure that clients are provided with a personal and tailored service for both day to day compliance and advisory projects
Responsible for day-to-day staff planning, ensuring the right level of technically qualified staff are booked on to client work for the appropriate amount of time
Carry out review work on accounts and other assignments prepared by Managers and team members
Business development activities and winning work by proactively managing existing clients and targeting new clients. Involvement in formal and informal pitching procedures
This regional office is centrally based in Hertford, and accessible from areas all over the Hertfordshire region - St Albans, Hatfield, Welwyn, Stevenage, Harlow, Enfield
ACA/ CA/ ACCA qualified
Up-to-date technical knowledge (UK GAAP, IFRS's, ISAs, Companies Act legislation).
