Job Details
Your new company
Hays are working with a very well-established, national service provider based on the outskirts of Norwich. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join a high energy team.
Your new role
The main purpose of the role will be to manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring cash collection targets are met on time. You will work within an experienced team of credit controllers, report to a newly appointed Credit Manager and work in tandem with other departments; namely Purchase Ledger, Treasury and Sales & Invoicing.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure invoices and statements are sent correctly to your clients
- Collect income by communicating with clients via email, telephone and in written form.
- Escalate any overdue debt issues to senior management
- Operate within defined credit limits
- Reconcile accounts
- Develop rapport and positive relationships with your clients
The clientele you will be looking after includes 6 individual portfolios that vary in industry and service and as such can vary in cash value month to month with invoices varying from £100-£100,000. The ledger is well maintained with minimal aged debt.
This is a full time role working 37 hours a week between Monday and Friday but exact working hours are negotiable. The business is operating in a covid-secure structure and will be based in the office rather than from home.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have prior experience in a similar transactional finance role and ideally be studying towards CICM or AAT but this is not essential. You will need to have strong communication skills and be confident in communicating with a range of clients. You will be ambitious and want to learn new skills and must have good organisational and time management skills.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary and benefits package and have access to free on site parking. On successful completion of probation there is also study support available for all employees
